The design for this residential development presented a
challenge being situated on an old quarry, to take advantage
of the magnificent Maribyrnong River Valley views, it was
designed on a steeply sloping site.
The final form of the Horizon development evolved from
a confluence of ideas involving local residents and the developer,
urban designers, landscape architects and engineers. These
concerns, constraints and design principles were employed
to provide the final solution. Horizon comprises a 47-unit
apartment building and 82 walk-up residential units set in a
landscaped environment organically sited to capture the best
views afforded by the location.
